Gordon Energy & Drainage was started in 1972 by Larry Gordon.  Larry began as a 1 man, 1 truck operation.   He installed drain tile for homebuilders in the Kansas City metropolitan area.  Over the years, Larry grew his company and added on new product lines.  By 1988, Gordon Energy & Drainage employed over 30 people and ran 25 trucks.   Most of the product lines that Gordon Energy & Drainage were offered to homebuilders were energy efficient products or drainage products. 

 In 1993, Larry decided to retire so that he could spend more time with his family.  At that time, Todd Mitchell & Cash Carpenter worked as salesman for Larry Gordon.  Todd & Cash got together and purchased all of Larry Gordon’s assets. 

 In August of 1993, Todd & Cash began working as the new owners of Gordon Energy & Drainage.    Their main goal was to prove to the homebuilders and to the existing employees that they could run the company as effectively as Larry Gordon. 

 Today, our company is as strong as ever.  Some of our employees have been with us since Larry Gordon owned the company.  The company has enjoyed steady growth and has always strived to maintain the service that caused us to grow.  NEXT DAY SERVICE has always been and will always be our goal.
